With the latest capability in Facebook, where you are able to Compose message directly to someone’s email, now we can send email to anyone without revealing our own email address. Not only that, your email address is not shown but you can show to others who you really are!
This concept introduced by Facebook is really amazing, what it does is it creates the message and sends the message directly to someone’s email using their own mailer. Later on the receiver will see the message in their mailbox with an option to reply to it using an auto generated page which will later on send the reply directly to your Facebook Inbox. Isn’t that cool? So why not use this way to send email to those people who you don’t want to reveal your mail ID to?
Basically this are the steps you follow and the flow of the system:
Login to your Facebook account, then goto Inbox and choose compose message.
In the ‘To’ column, simply type your friends or anyone’s email address you wish to send the email to.
Once you have sent the mail your friend will get the message in their mailbox with your limited details. A paged linked will be displayed in the email for them to reply directly to your email. Once they click on the page, a conversation type message will appear and they can type their reply which you will get directly in your Facebook inbox.
Conversation is now started from Facebook to Friend’s Mailbox, and your email address will never be revealed.
Facebook handles privacy in a very well way, so you can simply set your privacy to high and avoid the to receiver to even view your photo or profile when the message is sent. I am using facebook to send emails to alot of people, just to make new friends. This way they don’t know my email address and the best part, you get more friends into your Facebook account and it avoids SPAM!
