Some time ago i wrote a review about Happy. As of the data 22nd January 2009, Happy Sim and service is considered useless to me! Trust me Happy is just digging their own grave to bankruptcy with this new plan / charges.

Why was it so great before? They used to charge their calls 99cents for 45 minutes to all telcos in Malaysia and they changed their package now with this announcement:

Happy is now HAPPIER with brand new call rates.

With Happy, you can make extra long Happy to Happy calls of up to 45 minutes anytime between 9:00am to 5:00pm for just RM0.99!

For short calls, we’re gotten even better with a super call rate of RM0.33 a minute to all networks! That’s way cheaper compared to our previous rate!

And you’ll be glad to know that SMSes are still RM0.10 to all Malaysian numbers!

The new call rates are applicable to all new and existing Happy customers.

The changes in plan is so bad that i have decided to call them losers and cheaters! Before this it used to be charged 1cent per seconds and maximum charges for the 45 minutes you talk is 99 cents. Well see their new charges now and how lousy they are:

1. 99 cents for 45 minutes and this is only applicable for Happy to Happy and not only that it is only from 9am to 5pm. Hey isn’t this like during the office hours? Who the hell is stupid enough to do a lot of talking during this time? At the same time how many people are using Happy as their primary line?

2. You talk for 3 minutes you are charged for 33 cents per minute. You talk more than 3 minutes till 15 minutes it is 99 cents and if you talk more than that you die!

3. Simple calculation, comparing other normal telco (active callers) charges with Happy.
–> Happy New Charges
—- 15 Minutes = Flat 99 cents
—- 25 Minutes = 99 cents + (33 cents X 10) = RM 4.29
–> Other Telco (Active Callers) Charges
—- 15 Minutes = 15 cents X 15 = RM 2.25
—- 25 Minutes = 15 cents X 25 = RM 3.75

So what is the point of getting Happy if there is nothing to be happy about? To those who used Happy to talk long hours before it is simply a major disappointment.

So what is there to be happier about? How bold are they to state such a thing that customers are going to be happier with this new plan? I just feel like throwing away the sim! The best part of all, Happy advertised in newspapers that this new plan is a promotion and something special for new year! You guys are dumb fruckks!

I have decided to get rid of Happy and stay away from them, to those who plan to use Happy, just forget it. I am planning to sell my Happy Sim card if anyone wants it (0143XXX555).
