I just could not help but mentioned about the new advertisement from Maxis promoting that with Maxis you can use Facebook and Flickr via your mobile. The advertisement was so well made and does make sense. But there is something which caused me to question regarding this promotion.

First of all, isn’t Facebook and Flickr accessible via mobile using any WAP enabled phone using any telco which is not necessarily Maxis. So why promote something which anyone can use with so much of effort? This is what i call smart promoting of services.

One thing is for sure, that is most of people would have already been tricked that Facebook and Flickr for mobile is only usable with Maxis as Telco or that this services is a part of Maxis services.
