The release of the most anticipated audio of Vijay movie ‘Kuruvi’ is here and to be honest the songs are going to be a major hit due to its fast songs. I guess it is going to be a hit better than ‘Azhagiya Tamil Magan’. Major attraction of the songs here are its music and also the re-introduction of Yogi-B and Dr.Burn in the songs. This is a calling for all Malaysian fans to have this audio. The best song in the movie for me is ‘Palanadhu’ which you can listen below:

1. Dandana Darna – Sangeeth Althipur
A fast song with folk elements, a trademark entry song for Vijay i guess. Song is listenable and the singer’s voice adds more power to the song. I would rate this song 3.4/5

2. Happy New Year – Yogi B, Sunidhi Chauhan, Dr Burn
Finally after a long wait, we get to hear two friends from Yogi-B & Natchatra re-unite in Indian movie music industry. Yes the song is actually a full length song for Sunidhi who does her part extremely well and at the same time rap Yogi-B and Dr.Burn is amazing! This song is surely to be a hit everywhere in the world, especially in Malaysia due to the addition of Malay words in the song. Heavy western music have been used for this song with a mixture of folk. For some reason i think i heard MC Jezz’s voice in the song as well, but his name is not mentioned in the CD. I will rate this song 4.2/5

3. Thaen Thaen – Udit Narayan, Shreya Goshal
An extremely beautiful song and also the only melodious song in the movie. After some time i am hearing Udit Narayan singing a slow love song and Shreya Goshal as usual have excelled with her voice in this song. I am expecting this song to be another hit. Beautiful music with a mixture of ‘DangDut’ mix makes this song such a listening pleasure. I will rate this song 4.4/5

4. Mozha Mozhannu – Anuradha Sriram, Kay Kay
You can’t expect all the songs in a movie to be a hit and this song was really bad to my ears. For some reason i did not like this song even though Kay Kay is one of my favorite singers. A typical folk song with nuthing special. I will rate this song 2.2/5

5. Pallanadhu – Vidyasagar, S. Rajalakshmi
If there is a song in this movie which i liked the most, well it will be this song. After a long gap Vidyasagar has rendered a beautiful fast phase full song. The background music of this song just made me tap my legs the first time i heard it. The singers voice simply suited the song so well. Due to the nature of the beat, i am sure this song will be played in all Disco-Tech’s. It is really a song made for dancing with a mixture of western and punjabi music. A trademark of Vidyasagar’s music. I will rate this song 4.7/5

6. Theme Music – Praveen Mani, Dr Burn, Ranina and Suvi
A theme song which sounds alot like ‘Sivaji Vacha’ theme music. Burn excels and once again i think i also heard MC Jezz voice in the theme music. The rap is rather good and mixture music was good. The tune changes along the music, from western to folk with the rap along the music. A really good theme music. I will rate this theme song 4.1/5
