As i am a heavy mobile user with multiple number, it was a hassle carrying multiple phones with multiple numbers. So my option for the past few years was to clone 2 of my numbers into one sim card. Yes, i did it with the help of MagicSim.

I am very aware that most of the sim card nowadays are v2 (version 2) and cloning is only possible for older sim cards which are v1 (version 1). Put it this way, most of the sim cards obtained before 2004 is V1 sim cards and prior to that are v2 which uses higher encryption method and also hack proof method, where the sim card destructs itself when someone tries to read or extract information from it.

Since i obtained a new Happy sim card with a VIP number, i decided to try to clone my old Happy sim. Yes extraction went fine and it ruined my sim. This clearly states that Happy sim are version 2 sim card. Currently there is no way of determining which sim is v1 and which sim is v2 and also at the moment there is no way to clone a v2 sim card available.

So guys if you are using a Happy sim, please make sure you don’t try to clone it. As for me i am still wondering how to go about having two sim cards in my phone. Please don’t suggest me a china clone phone (as it sucks!) and also Samsung Duos (too expensive). Let me go on to find a way!
