One Night Around Alor Setar, Kedah

Went out on a night ride around Alor Setar, Kedah and managed to get this glowing shots in really dark condition. It was a really beautiful and peaceful outing.

Will be going again soon to the same place to take more silence in the dark shots.

Taiping War Memorial Cemetery, Perak

This memorial which is located in Bukit Larut, Taiping is made for those soldiers who died during the Japanese invasion in Malaysia. They are from different ethnic but were reunited here as one. Most of them are still unidentified, but their memories remain intact here. Little feeling of sadness did come to me when i was here.

No bodies were buried here, it is just a memorial for those soldiers and now it is a tourist attraction :)

Sam Poh Tong Oriental Garden, Ipoh

Sam Poh Tong is a cave temple located in Ipoh and one of the main attraction is the landscaping of the Oriental Garden. When i was there, i really felt like i was abroad. It felt like i was in China. It is a really beautiful attraction that everyone should see.

I noticed that the person maintaining the place had to use a small boat to access most of the landscaped area due to the floating concept. Really nice environment. Do check it out.

The Famous ‘Yik Mun’ Pau, Tanjung Malim

Normally when i head back from KL to my hometown i exit at Tanjung Malim just to grab this famous ‘Yik Mun’ pau. It is said to be the best pau in Malaysia. For me the specialty comes from the kaya used in the pau. It is simply yummy!

The other offerings in the cafe is also nice and i do enjoy their ‘Curry Mee’ very much. You can always buy their other products, such as frozen pau and cook it at home and at the same time, if you ever stop by here, don’t forget to buy their Kaya!

Sri Jagannatha Ratha Yatra Festival, Tapah

Managed to see the chariot procession of Jagannatha Ratha Yatra Festival as i was back in hometown. Despite of heavy rain, the devotees still made it for the procession.

Wesak Day At Miaw Yuan Chan Lin Temple, Ipoh

This year i visited the Miaw Yuan Chan Lin Cave Temple in Ipoh two days after Wesak Day. I couldn’t go for the celebration on Wesak Day because i had to work. Well it was a good experience to go two days later since no one was there and it was really peaceful. Managed to get some shots of this temple as i was there.

I have noticed that most of the people that visit Ipoh for Cave Temples miss out this temple. The caves here are really beautiful and trust me, it does look like a movie location and also will surely be a good location for photography.

Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, March 2011

Yet another year and those unique hot balloons were flying up in the skies of Putrajaya. Again this year it attracted more people to visit the event and have fun. Check out the shots below.

Supermoon on March 19,2011

So it was supposed to be the closest view of the moon after 18 years and yes i was surprised with this event. But for some what reason the Supermoon didn’t look that close here in Malaysia, but it was really bright. Here are some shots i took, which is unedited (Except for cropping the size and watermarking it) and simple.

The moon was really beautiful, i really loved the view of light ring surrounding the moon which made it even awesome.

Mini I-City In Alor Setar, Kedah

We have known about the amazing I-City (City Of Lights) in Shah Alam and now there is a mini I-City in Alor Setar, Kedah. Located just opposite Masjid Zahir it is what it’s name says, a Mini I-City. Started of as a celebration for the Kedah Sultan’s Birthday and there are news that it will be extended longer. It seems to attract a lot of people, hey who doesn’t like lights? :)

Thaipusam 2011 In Tapah, Perak

Into the new year of 2011, i celebrated Thaipusam yet again in my lovely hometown Tapah, Perak. Had a really simple and meaningful celebration for two days with family and friends.
