As most of you guys know 08/08/08 is considered to be a lucky day and yes this is the last time i am going to see this date in my life! For a moment i was just about the totally change the layout of my site, but then later i just thought of my current theme and how long i have used it. Well i have not used it long enough. Since i have this thing for simplicity and clean interface, i opted to make a single column theme with a new concept and extra features. So i modified my previous theme and here you have the new theme which is SU2-Enhanced. Used alot of PHP coding to make this theme work as how it is and also used a few Wordpress plug-ins to make things even better!

Some Enhancement:

As you can see the theme is a single column theme and mainly all the menus are cramped into a drop-down window. This had to be done to make the blog site look simple. Post views are shown on the left of post item box in the front page, while on the right there is a portion to display a thumbnail of media used in the post or even an option to transform the entire post item box into another design to identify them as different types of post. This idea came to be based on the interest i have for Digg and Facebook. In the ‘About’ menu section, a column called ‘Status’ is added which will always show my latest Facebook status directly on this site. This was done with a bit of XML and PHP parsing. On the single blog post page, I have finally added plug-in option to display related entries and also random entries which i think was missing all this while. This way it would be easier for people to go around my blog.

This is just the Beta version of this theme. The next i have planned for my blog site is a way to import my daily social activity as posts and display them accordingly (code is almost 70% completed :p ), so i have my everyday world at one spot! Any ideas and suggestions, just keep it coming!
